Happy Thursday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time led by Honor and health snacks.
In our am hands on activity we practiced forming letters on dry erase boards and books.
In Language Arts we sang our jolly phonics song and students completed their journals where they practiced copying a sentence from the board. Today we also completed a page where they practiced their reading skills. Students had to look at the picture, say the name of each picture and circle the pictures in which they hear the short sound of the vowel. Next, each student practiced reading the blends: la, le, lo, lu, li. We also practiced reading short words as a class.
In Math students practiced numeracy skills by looking at the card number and matching the correct amount of manipulatives.

In our UOI we read the book: We are all alike, we are all different!

Today students participated in centers, gym and French classes.
Have a great evening everyone!
