Happy Thursday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time led by Maya and health snacks.
In our am hands on activity we practiced cutting and pasting. Students had a list of letters and numbers to cut and paste in the correct category.
In Language Arts we reviewed name, sound and formation of I. Then students completed a page of their workbook where they traced and wrote upper and lower case I. They also had to look at the pictures and circle the picture in which they hear short sound of I.
In Math we practiced sorting using a variety of animals following the chart:
 
In the afternoon we read a book about Franklin and his new friend. This story was really nice to expose students to be open minded. It is ok to be different!
Students participated in centers, Drama, French and Gym classes.
