Busy Day!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks (first snack I encourage students to eat either their fruits, yogurt, cheese or milk whichever health snacks they bring in their lunch bags).
In Journal writing we made a booklet about kindergarten, where students practiced writing their names using upper case ONLY for the initial letter. They also practiced writing their age, my name and tracing letters. Some of the students were able to finish the booklet, while others will finish tomorrow. Next, students finger painted their name initial. Take a look at our board inside of our class.
In Math students practiced counting with a "hands-on" activity. They worked in pairs and were encouraged to match the correct amount of clothespin to the number on the card.
In our Unit of Inquiry, students practiced their communication skills by playing pretend journalists. Each student asked basic questions about each other, while I was completing the card (take a look in our class door).
Today students participated in Centers, French and Gym class. To finish off the day we had a fun house game in the gym and gym class with Ms. Lovan.
Have a great evening everyone!
