Rainy Wednesday!

We had a fun day today!
We began the day with our calendar routine  led by Honor and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we reviewed name, sound and formation of the letter T. We also made a list of familiar words that begins with t sound.
Then students traced and wrote the letter t.
In Math we made a graph about the birthdays in our class. We first did as a class and then tried on our own.

Today we also started a new unit in Math. The Number Sense unit will focus on the following:
- Recognize that the last number in a count tells how many objects have been counted
- Recognize that counting can begin and end at any point in a sequence and can be applied to any size or variety of objects
- Recognize and write numerals from 1 to 10
- Sort, classify, and count the number of objects in a set
- Estimate and count to identify sets with more, fewer or the same number of objects
In the afternoon we made train tracks using pretzel stick, just to help students memorize the t sound. We had reading buddies, French class and Drama class.
Have a great evening everyone!
