Happy Thursday

We had a very productive day today!
In the morning we had our circle time (we sang our calendar songs, "shook our sillies out", talked about the weather, dressed up John and completed our pop corn counting to 100th day of school).
Next, students had their healthy snacks and we had our Daily Five - read to someone. Students used grade level books with blends and short words in it.

Next, we completed our Daily Five - work on writing. Students cut and paste letters to build the word mat. After that, (with assistance) they wrote a sentence using the word mat.

To finish our morning language work we started a booklet on short words where students had to complete the word by writing the missing letters.

Then, students had French class.
After lunch and indoor recess, we worked on our unit in Math/UOI. Students colored a wheel pattern.
They all turned out great! Take a look at our board!

Next, we had centers: blocks, lego and painting.
After second lunch and indoor recess, we had our Daily Five - listen to reading. Students listened to The Berenstain Bears Forgot Their Manners story.
To finish off the day we packed up and had gym class.
Have a great evening everyone!
