Great Day!

What a nice day to be outdoors!
We began the day with morning circle time and snacks.
In Language Arts we had our daily five - read to self and also read to someone.
Next, we had the daily five - word work, where students had to fill in the missing vowel.
Students who finished early, worked on their Writing with Phonics book.
After lunch we had story time and completed a fun Spring related work. Students had to cut and paste pictures related to spring.
In Math we worked on numeracy (counting objects in a set). Students also worked on number formation.
Next, we had centers and today students attended gym, French and drama classes.

Next students wrote in their agendas. In Math we worked on numeracy, where students counted objects in a set.
In our UOI we made farm animal crafts.
To finish off the day we had centers and made microwave popcorn following step by step, just to help students to remember sequence.

Today we began the day with morning circle time and snacks.
In Language Arts we had our daily five - read to someone, where students participated in reading groups guided by me.
Next, we completed the journals (daily five - work on writing) and also worked on letter formation in our book Writing with Phonics.
After recess, we had story time and students wrote in their agendas: "Bring a picture of a farm animal."
In Math we worked with numeracy. Students counted and circle the correct numbers.
In our UOI we are learning about farm animals. Today students started a booklet about Farm Animals.
Students today attended drama, French and Gym classes. They also had centers time.

Fun Day

Nice to see everyone wearing pink today!
In the morning assembly we had a house game focusing on team work. Next, students came in class we had snacks and morning circle time.
In Language Arts we had our daily five - work on writing. Students wrote in their journals: "On a rainy day I like to ___________________."
Next, we worked on beginning sounds. Students cut and paste the beginning sounds in the correct box. Then students wrote in their agendas.
After lunch and indoor recess we watched a 10 min. story about bullying. Then we had our Math unit on measurements. Today our focus was identifying sequence of events and use language, such as first, next, last, before and after to describe when events occur. On Friday we will be making microwave popcorn to learn about sequence.
In our UOI we read a book about rainbow fish and then painted a rainbow fish. Today we had reading buddies, gym and French classes.

Wear Pink Tomorrow

Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a restful long weekend.
Everyone was so excited to share what they did on the weekend.
We began the morning with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language we completed the journals and also work on CVC words.
Next, students wrote in the agendas.
After lunch, we worked in our Math/UOI theme. We measured gardening instruments using little butterfly. Students had to use the butterflies as a measurement tool. They all had fun doing it.
Then we measured ourselves using yarn. Take a look at our door.

To finish off the day we had story time, centers and watched a short video about bullying.
Tomorrow we are wearing pink to remind us to be anti - bullying!
Today students attended Gym, French and Drama classes.

We had a fun day!
In the morning we had a house game with all SJA students.

 

Next we came in class, had our circle time and healthy snacks. In Language we completed the journal: "At Easter my family ______."

Students then worked on their Writing with Phonics book.

In the afternoon we had the Easter Egg Hunt.

 

Next students made little bunnies, we had story time and we also watched a short video about Autism. Today is International Autism Day!

Yes! One more sleep for our Easter Egg Hunt! Everyone is very excited!

After lunch, we had math - today students worked on numeracy by counting objects in a set and circling the correct number. We also decorated Easter Eggs pictures with bingo daubers.
Next, we had reading buddies. Today students attended Drama, Gym and French classes.
