Great Tuesday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we completed the journals and also worked on correct letter formation in our book "Writing with Phonics".
In Math we read the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. Then we made popsicle stick puppets representing the three bears: small, medium and big. Then students cut out pictures to match each bear. Please, take a look in your child's agenda.
Today students participated in centers and attended  French and Gym classes.

Happy Monday!!!

Despite the dull weather we had a fun day!
We began the day with our morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we had our daily five - read to someone. Then we completed the journal (daily five - work on writing). Today journal writing was: "On the weekend I _____________."
For the earlier finishers, they also worked on the workbook: Writing with Phonics.
Next, students wrote in their agendas: "Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday. Bring a basket." If you have a basket or a bucket feel free to send it with your child on Thursday.
After lunch we worked on numeracy. Students completed a couple of pages dealing with counting and writing the correct numbers.
Today students attended French and Gym classes and participated in centers.

Heureux Vendredi

Today students started the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
We then had the daily five - read to someone. Next, we worked on our book: Writing with Phonics. Students practiced correct letter formation. After that students wrote in their agendas.
After lunch and recess we had our UOI/Math time. Students sorted living and non-living pictures.
For those who finished early, they also worked on numeration.
Today we had show and tell, centers and story time.
Students attended French and Gym classes.

Great Thursday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language we worked with blends. Students completed a couple of pages where they cut and sorted pictures according to its beginning blend sound. Here are the blends we practiced: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fr, sk, sl, sm, sn, sp and st.
Next, students wrote in their agendas.
After lunch and indoor recess we had art class. Students painted a flower to represent spring.











Today JKs are taking home a "hands on" homework as an introduction to our new unit in Math. Please, take your time to complete the activities, although it is NOT mandatory.
To finish off the day we had centers and story time.
Today students attended drama, French and gym classes.

Happy Wednesday!

We had an awesome day!
In the morning we had our morning circle time with Gabriella's help, as she was the special helper today!
Next we had snacks and daily five - read to self.
In Language Arts we completed our journal: "At school I like to ____________."
Then students wrote in the agendas.
After lunch and indoor recess, we started our new unit of inquiry on living and non living things. Students participated really well and helped create the chart bellow:

Welcome back!

It was really exciting to see everyone today!
Students had a lot to share! I just love seeing the change on each one of them every time we come from a break! :)
Today we began the day with our morning circle time. It took us longer than usual as we shared what we did over the break and we also talked about spring.
In the morning we started a new journal book. This is our Daily Five - work on writing/words.
Students wrote "March Break was _____________."
Next, we students participated in the Daily Five - read to someone.
After lunch and indoor recess, we read a story as a class and completed a couple of Math worksheets that involved numeracy.
Next, students wrote in their agendas and we had centers.
To finish off the day we played Bingo Shape and packed up.
Today students attended French and Gym classes.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

What a great day!
In the morning we had circle time and snacks. Then students completed a couple of pages of their report cards: the student's comment section and a picture of them in term 2 (report cards go home on March 27th).
We had story time and lunch.
In the afternoon we had Show and Tell presentations and centers.
Today students attended Gym, French and Drama classes.

Great Day!

We had an awesome day!
In the morning we had a house game, circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we completed an activity where students had to follow the color/word code in order to color a picture of a superhero.
Next, we had our Transportation project presentations. Everyone did a great job!
In the afternoon we had story time and students worked on a couple of pages involving phonics and numeracy.
Today students attended French and Gym classes.
