Happy Tuesday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In the morning we had an activity where students reflected on their favorite thing they did this year. Then they colored and decorated the cupcake template for the same activity.
In the afternoon we worked on numeracy. Students cut and paste matching numerals to quantity.
We also had the daily five - read to self and read to someone.
Students attended Gym and French classes.

Happy Monday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
We then sang a couple of phonics songs and also worked on phonics worksheets. Students had to look at the picture at the beginning of each row and circle the correct vowel.
We also had some time to work on our Writing with Phonics workbook.
In the afternoon we worked with numeracy. Students practiced counting and writing numbers 11-20.
Today we had daily five - read to self and centers. Students attended French, Drama and Gym classes.

Hot Friday

Today we had a great day!
We began the day with morning circle time and health snacks.
In Language Arts we completed 4 worksheets. Students had to fill in the missing vowel  and also match the "AD" word family. We practiced reading the following words: glad, mad, lad, dad and bad.
In Math we worked on numeracy: counting objects in a set and writing numbers 21-30.
Today we had a gr. 7 student read to us and students also participated in the daily five - read to self.

Sunny Day!

We had a great day!
We began the morning with the Spelling Bee, congratulations to all students for putting great effort!
Then we came in class and completed some language work. Students worked on building words.
After recess we worked on numeracy and also in our Writing with Phonics.
Next, we had reading buddies (outside) and we wrote in the agendas.
Students participated in centers, daily five - reading to self and attended French and Gym classes.
